If a student don’t learn the way we teach, we should teach them the way they learn.
I do understand the challenge we teachers have in our hands. Considering this saying, I caught myself thinking about it and how could I contribute. How can we manage to teach 10, 15 or even 30 different kids, the way they learn?
Well I think the best way to solve this problem is to have a different kind of teaching. We usually teach the way we have learned, but maybe this isn’t the best way around. If you can provide a class that activate your students’ memory, than they will remember more. As we have kids who are: auditory, visual, kinesthetic and so on, the best way to teach a large group of students is to have a class with different kinds of input. Get the subject you have to teach and try to transform it in something fun, think about how you would like your class to be. Would it have music and videos? Games and art activities? So this is the key answer here. By creating a different class full of relevance and with connected features, you will be able to teach your students and make them remember everything.
